“It’s Monday! What are you Reading?” is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is a chance for book lovers to share their reading accomplishments as well as what is on the proverbial nightstand. She even does a giveaway. Subsequently Jen and Kellee at Teach Mentor Texts added an opportunity for those reading kidlit to join the fun. Since I read both I will post to both. I don't usually post more than once a month and I haven't included any picture books I read. (I read quite a few between my four year old and my classroom.) This week I want to share the following with you.
This is a pile of books I checked out from the library this summer, all being books I wanted to peruse as ones I might want to purchase.
I love the library as I can put books on hold from the comfort of my living room, simply copy and pasting from where I place hold in Amazon when things are recommended. These all became available together.
G thought Guess Again and Where Is the Green Sheep? were delightfully silly, re-reading them often.
I purchased It's a Book and Max's Words for my classroom. If I was teaching the American Revolution and doing the Living Museum from that timeframe Louisa would be a must.
